We drew inspiration from the historic stone architecture of Tours, France—specifically the weathered, layered horizontal ridges of the city's medieval half-timbered building facades and limestone walls. These structures, aged by centuries of French climate, feature bold linear textures and muted earthy tones that feel both rustic and timeless. This flexible stone replicates that character: its thick, organic ridges and matte, weathered finish capture the artisanal charm of Tours' historic stonework, merging the city's architectural heritage with the adaptability of modern flexible material.
Texture
This flexible stone mirrors the signature character of French Tours stone: bold, layered horizontal ridges (with subtle, organic irregularities that echo weathered medieval masonry) paired with a matte, earthy finish. Tonal variations lean into muted, timeless hues-soft off-whites, faint sage greens, and warm sand beiges-interspersed with tiny mineral flecks that mimic the weathered patina of Tours' historic walls. The texture is tactile yet refined: the ridges have gentle, rounded edges (evoking centuries of wear) while the base retains a smooth, velvety matte feel. Its malleable base preserves the thick, organic ridge detail even on curved surfaces, merging the rustic texture of ancient Tours stonework with the practicality of modern flexible material.
