21PARKHOUSE® Flexible Stone | Ceiling Installation Instructions

This guide explains how to install 21PARKHOUSE flexible stone on a ceiling and how to finish square ventilation openings and round light openings.

Ceiling Installation Process

Set out the installation according to the drawings and product dimensions. Use a chalk line reel to snap reference lines and confirm the product positions.
Cut the product to size with an angle grinder or a woodworking table saw.
Before installing large panels, evenly trowel a 1-2 mm layer of adhesive onto the substrate to improve adhesion.
When the adhesive on the substrate is semi-dry, evenly apply a 2-3 mm layer of adhesive mortar to the back of the product. Maintain approximately 90% coverage and leave a 1 cm margin around all edges.
Use a scaffold to lift the product flat into the installation area. Do not bend it excessively, as this may crack the surface. The minimum bending radius is 200 mm.
Once the product is raised, two installers should support it while a third installer aligns and bonds it in position.
Compact the surface with a tapping float. Do not press it by hand, as this may create local depressions.
Hold the product in place with two straight timber strips or boards. Drive nails through the strips into the product for temporary reinforcement.
Fix the product evenly with nails around the perimeter and through the centre to prevent hollow spots or detachment.
After the adhesive has fully cured for at least 24 hours, remove the timber strips to complete the installation.
Clean the product surface with a semi-dry cloth.
The ceiling installation is complete.

Use a tape measure to measure the vent dimensions and its distance from the installation reference points.
Transfer the measurements to the product. Mark the vent position and draw its outline with a pencil.
Before installation, cut out the marked vent area with a utility knife.
After cutting the opening, apply adhesive mortar evenly to the back of the product. Maintain approximately 90% coverage and leave a 1 cm margin around all edges.
Use a scaffold to lift the product into position and bond it to the ceiling.
Compact the surface with a tapping float. Do not press it by hand, as this may create local depressions.
Clean the product surface with a semi-dry cloth.
The square vent opening is complete.

Use the cross-measurement method. Measure the distance from the centre of the round light opening to both the long and short edges of the product.
Transfer the measurements to the product and mark the centre of the light opening with a cross.
Apply adhesive mortar evenly to the back of the product. Maintain approximately 90% coverage and leave a 1 cm margin around all edges.
Use a scaffold to lift the product into position and bond it to the ceiling.
Using the marked centre point as a guide, cut out the light opening with a utility knife.
Compact the surface with a tapping float. Do not press it by hand, as this may create local depressions.
Clean the product surface with a semi-dry cloth.
The round light opening is complete.
