01. A Poem of Fashion
An Exploration of Artistic Form
ANN ANDELMAN is a French brand that combines fashion with abstract aesthetics. Its refined designs and distinctive point of view have attracted fashion enthusiasts around the world. By choosing Shanghai Xintiandi for this store, the brand pays tribute to the area's cultural heritage while exploring a new expression of spatial art.
Built around the theme "A Dialogue Between Time and Fashion," the store uses simple forms to define a clean, organic interior and create an immersive retail experience.
02. Space as a Setting
An Aesthetic Encounter Across Time
The central display island is the visual focus of the store. To let the material tell the story of the space, the designer selected 21PARKHOUSE® Tivoni Travertine flexible stone for its surfaces, combining artistic character with practical performance.
Light falls across the travertine's natural veining and weathered pores, creating a layered play of shadow. The surface appears like fragments of history unfolding through the space, while the new footwear displayed on the island creates a deliberate dialogue between past and present. Fashion does not appear in isolation; it is built on cultural memory.
Through a flexible arrangement of display volumes, the designer creates a varied visual rhythm and a relaxed, poetic atmosphere. Moving through the store becomes a calm and restorative experience.
03. Flexible Stone
A New Material for Practical Design
Formaldehyde-Free and Low-Odor
Odors in newly fitted interiors can come from formaldehyde, benzene compounds, total volatile organic compounds and ammonia. Flexible stone is a formaldehyde-free environmental material with a microporous internal structure designed to help adsorb and break down airborne pollutants, supporting faster odor reduction after renovation and a shorter path to opening.
Flexible and Bendable
With a minimum bending radius of 200 mm, flexible stone can follow curved and irregular forms. Sheets can also be stacked or rolled for transport, helping reduce the space required for storage and delivery.
Class A Fire Performance
The material is certified to European Class A fire-performance requirements and also meets China's national Class A requirement for fire-resistant building materials. Its non-combustible, high-temperature-resistant and stable characteristics help limit the spread of fire.
