Performance in Severe Cold
Winters in Kazakhstan are cold, with temperatures frequently falling below 0°C. Flexible stone has undergone up to 100 repeated freeze-thaw cycles between -30°C and 50°C without surface chalking or cracking, making it suitable for indoor and outdoor use in sub-zero conditions.
Rigid materials such as ceramic tiles can be vulnerable to freeze-thaw stress, which may cause the tile body to crack or detach. Flexible stone is thin, lightweight, breathable and more tolerant of deformation, so freeze-thaw movement has far less effect on the finished surface.
