Time dances in the flames. The life of wood is transformed by charring, becoming enduring black gold. Every line of grain is a whisper of time, and every darkened surface holds a secret of light and shadow.
Enduring Beauty, Etched in Fire
A Natural Poem Forged by Char
The inspiration behind the charring process comes from the traditional Japanese technique of Shou Sugi Ban. Using fire as their brush, craftspeople form a protective charred layer on the surface of timber while giving it the quiet, imperfect beauty of wabi-sabi.

21PARKHOUSE® draws inspiration from nature, capturing the primal character of wood transformed by flame and layered with rich grain. Modern technology recreates its bold yet refined tactile quality in Kesong Carbonized Wood flexible stone, bringing this material language into architectural spaces and returning design to its essence.

Kesong Carbonized Wood
As intense heat passes across the fibres of pine, the scorched brown grain takes on the character of ink marks on an ancient scroll. Light and dark tones intersect, holding nature's breath in place and concealing a wild tension within a disciplined, minimalist order.

Thickness: 2–5 mm (±1 mm)
The vertically arranged plank texture creates a steady rhythm through repetition, while subtle irregularities in the charred markings keep the surface from feeling rigid. Across a large area, the deep grey ground gives the space a restrained character. Its rough texture responds to changing light with delicate layers of shadow, adding a dynamic visual effect to the wall.

Controlled Costs. Superior Performance.
Class A Fire Performance
21PARKHOUSE® flexible stone has obtained EU Class A fire certification and also meets China's national A2 classification for fire-resistant building materials. Its resistance to ignition makes it especially suitable for high-rise hotels, office buildings and similar projects. In the event of a fire, its non-combustibility, high-temperature resistance and resistance to detachment help limit further flame spread.

Water and Moisture Resistance
Flexible stone offers excellent resistance to water and salt spray. Even during prolonged wet weather, exterior walls can withstand rain while interior walls remain dry, reducing the risk of cracking and peeling. It is also widely used in spas, swimming pools, coastal projects and other moisture-prone environments.

Formaldehyde-Free and Odour-Reducing
Odours in newly completed interiors often come from formaldehyde, benzene compounds, TVOCs and ammonia. Flexible stone is a formaldehyde-free, environmentally responsible material with a specialised microporous structure that can adsorb and break down harmful airborne substances such as formaldehyde. This helps reduce renovation odours efficiently and supports faster project handover and opening.

21PARKHOUSE® flexible stone connects technology with art. It helps reduce the over-extraction of natural resources while recreating the textures of stone, timber and other natural materials. Alongside its visual character, it combines Class A fire performance with the flexibility to bend around surfaces, helping control project costs and offering strong value compared with traditional materials.
