In an old settlement in Yekaterinburg, Russia, a quiet villa stands as more than a residence. Shaped by time and nature, it creates a tranquil retreat and an enduring sense of place.

01. Modern Minimalism
Interpreting Timeless Beauty
The villa adopts a modern minimalist architectural language, balancing rational planning with refined sensitivity. Light exterior walls pair with a deep grey roof to create a calm, substantial visual character.

The layered facade is clearly articulated and carefully composed. It meets practical requirements while enriching the spatial experience, giving every part of the property a lived-in warmth.

02. Texture as Narrative
A Philosophy Written by Nature
Across the exterior facade and boundary walls, the texture of 21PARKHOUSE® Glacier Stone flexible stone takes on a new architectural role, as if the grandeur of a glacier had been captured on the building surface.

Variations in depth and fine tactile detail bring natural character and artistic nuance to the architecture. Under changing light, the surface reveals different visual effects and gives the facade a continually shifting expression.

03. Considered Details
Craftsmanship in Every Element
Ageing Resistance and Long-Term Safety
Testing cited by the original article indicates that flexible stone withstands 2,000 hours of artificial ageing, equivalent to approximately 30–50 years of outdoor use. This makes it suitable for exterior wall applications where long-term safety and durability are essential.

Lightweight Material and Efficient Installation
Flexible stone weighs only 3–6 kg/m² and can be bonded directly over substrates such as existing tile or marble. Installation can reach 20–40 m² per person per day, while the lightweight finish also simplifies future maintenance. These qualities make it particularly suitable for commercial spaces, premium hotels and other project applications.

Freeze-Thaw Resistance and Secure Adhesion
Flexible stone can withstand up to 100 repeated freeze-thaw cycles from -30°C to 50°C without surface powdering or cracking. Rigid finishes such as ceramic tile are more vulnerable to stresses that can cause cracking or detachment. By contrast, flexible stone is thin, breathable and resistant to deformation, making it well suited to cold regions including Moscow, Xinjiang, Heilongjiang and Liaoning.

By bringing a natural material expression into every part of the design, 21PARKHOUSE® Glacier Stone combines freeze-thaw resistance, ageing resistance and efficient installation to expand what is possible in exterior architecture.
